ईटें बनाना अधिकार-शुल्क (Bricks Making Royalties) :

49. 1 जनवरी, 2004 को ईंट बनाने वाली कम्पनी ने मिट्टी निकालने के लिए नरेन्द्र वर्मा से एक भूमि का टुकड़ा 10 वर्षों के लिए पट्टे पर लिया। पट्टे की शर्ते निम्नलिखित थीं :
(अ) न्यूनतम किराया 4,80,000 रु0 वार्षिक है।
(ब)अधिकार शुल्क की दर 2 रु० प्रति 10 घन मीटर मिट्टी निकालने पर थी।
(स) 1 जनवरी, 2004 को कम्पनी ने नरेन्द्र सिंह वर्मा को 20,000 रु0 नजराने के दिये।
(द) लघुकार्य को पट्टे के प्रथम चार वर्षों में ही अपलिखित किया जा सकता है।
ईंट बनाने वाली कम्पनी ने प्रथम पाँच वर्षों में निम्न प्रकार मिट्टी को निकाला :
On 1-1-2004 A Bricks Making Co. took a lease for 10 years from Narendra Singh Verma for raising clay. The terms of the lease are:
(a) Minimum Rent is Rs. 4,80,000 a year.
(b) The Rate of Royalty was Rs. 2 per 10 cubic metre of clay raised.
(c) On Ist January, 2004 the company paid Rs. 20,000 as Nazrana to Narendra Singh Verma. (d) Shortworkings may be recouped during the first four years of the lease.
The Bricks Making Co. raised clay as follows:

Open Nazrana Account and Shortworkings Account in the books of Brick Making Company. (Ans. Irrecoverable Shortworkings of Rs. 80,000 will be transferred to Profit & Loss Account in 2007. Rs. 2,000 per year for writing off of Nazrana will be transferred to Profit & Loss Account.)
50. दी अमृत ब्रिक कम्पनी लिमिटेड ईंटों का निर्माण करती है। इसने ठाकुर हुकम सिंह से मिट्टी निकालने के उश्य से 10 वर्ष के पट्टे पर भूमि का एक बड़ा प्लाट लिया। पट्टे की निम्न शर्ते थीं :
(अ) 1 जनवरी, 2006 को पट्टा प्रारम्भ होने के समय पट्टा देने वाले को 55,000 रुपये प्रीमियम के दिए जायें।
(ब) उसे निकाली गयी मिट्टी के प्रति 100 घनफूट के लिये 10 रु० की रॉयल्टी दी जाये। अल्प किराया 200 प्रति वर्ष था. किसी भी न्यन उत्पत्ति की क्षति पूर्ति भविष्य की आधिक्य रॉयल्टी से की जा सकेगी। वार्षिक रायलीभुगतान प्रतिवर्ष 31 दिसम्बर को किया जाता है।
पट्टा लेने वाले द्वारा निकाली गयी मिट्टी की मात्रा 2006, 2007. 2008 में क्रमशः 16,00,000; 18.00.000 24,00,000 घनफुट थी।
The Amrit Brick Co. Ltd. manufactures bricks. It acquired, on a ten-years lease, a large plot of land from Thakur Hukam Singh for the purpose of getting earth. The lease provides that: (a) A premium of Rs. 55,000 is to be paid when the period of the lease commenced i.e., 1st Jan. 2006.
(b) An annual royalty of Rs. 10 per 100 cubic feet of earth taken out is to be paid to him, subject to a minimum rent of Rs. 2,00,000 per year, any shortworking to be recouped out of future excess royalty. Annual royalty is to be paid on 31st December each year. The quantity of earth extracted by the Lessee in 2006, 2007 and 2008 was 16,00,000; 18.00,000 and 24,00,000 cubic feet respectively. Enter these transactions in the Ledger of the Lessee for three years.
(Ans. Rs. 5,500 of Premium will be written off each year. There will be a balance of Rs. 20,000 in Shortworkings Account at the end of the year 2008.)
